"Planning Skill: Gender Bias Overcome"
"I grew up in a very misogynistic academic environment. I used to have guy friends who loved to take advantage of my organizing and planning skills for school assignments, and this continued into university life.
To them, being great at organizing and planning was seen as a maternal skill, something only women did.
'It's great that you're good at these skills; one day you'll end up marrying someone, and I'm sure they'll appreciate how clean the kitchen is.'
Well, look at me now—I'm still great at it, and I'm getting paid to do it (while also keeping my kitchen cleaned and organized)!"
