Explaining yourself

Do you ever find yourself constantly explaining and over-explaining things to those around you?

It's like when you're updating your resume and you feel the need to add every detail to prove your worth to potential employers.

Or when you're making a purchase and you opt for something fancy just to show others that you're honest about your intentions. But in the end, it often leads to either not getting hired at all (though sometimes you do, which is great!) or to tension, friction, and misunderstandings (though, people can also choose to be happy for you!).

There are many ways to earn trust from others, and relying on external validation can take a toll on our mental health and inner peace. Over-explaining isn't the only way to gain trust. It's important to find a balance and prioritize our well-being above seeking approval from others.
