Hiatus can be great!
I've been on hiatus from Instagram since Ramadhan but writing daily on wawahals.com. Hit day 100++/366 days ~ canβt believe I made it this far :
π§π»ββοΈ Newbie Swotting As A Business Analyst : Made a career shift 5 months ago and documented my journey. Weekly reflection on immersing myself in a new role, buoyed by the support of a dream team! All my energy has been focused on this. So much to learn but so little time!
π Book Lists:
Hammarby Series by Carin Gerhardsen (3 in 1): First Swedish crime series and this kept me awake at night, just to find out the endings. Fell for the detective complex mind and his interesting speculation whilst solving his murder cases. Typically tense, dark and suspenseful in a bleak winter sceneries. My partner recommended it to me, regret that I didnβt pick this up sooner!
18 Books in February '24: Exploring genres : A mini booknotes where I wrapped up my February reads, while also read 5 books while traveling. I had so much fun reading by the beach and even made a beach vlog of this short trip on Youtube (My favourite beach read is The Book Share by Phaedra Patrick ~ #notaromancebook)
The Qur'an by Muhammad A.S. Abdel Haleem: Eye-opening insights sans biases. For years, I research for the best translation, and I finally found a translation that was done elegantly ~ without influenced by cultural interpretations, political sentiments, and gender benefits. This translation of the Qur'an reveals overlooked Islamic teachings in communities. I finally found the answers of how some community traditions don't match Islam's core teachings ~ whilst itβs still a taboo thatβs remain untouchable. But I have my answers. I wish that this translation was added to school syllabus. Also, I watched "The Story of Moses" on Netflix while reading ~ it was an amazing Ramadhan.
π 100 Days Online Writing Adventure: Reflecting on my writing journey and why am I not stopping this challenge, yet!
