3 Life Lessons I Learned from My Old Cat, Jojie
Hey friends! πΎ These couple of day, I havenβt been really in centered as well as my furry bestfriend, Jojie the cat. He wasnβt at his best, itβs been awhile since he has had siezure more than twice a day.

Regardless, however I felt disturbed and worry for him, I thought that Iβd share three of the most important life lessons that Jojie has taught me.
Slow Down is Not Impossible
So, Jojie is an old cat but I sometimes believe he has this magical ability to slow down time. I mean, he can spend what feels like hours just basking in a sunbeam or taking his sweet time to just staring in silence. It hit me β slowing down isn't impossible. I can choose to not do anything, whether it's enjoying a good book or simply chilling with a cup of coffee, or even just lying down horizontally doing nothing, taking life at a cat's pace can be surprisingly rewarding. Everything else can wait.
Routine is Everything
Jojie might not be have to work, but heβs an early bird in his own right. Every morning, precisely at 7:30 am (sometimes even earlier!), he stands at our bedroom door, eagerly waiting for me to step out and feed him. Since Jojie became a part of our lives, I can't recall a morning where I've slept past 8 am, even on weekends. He's a living reminder that routine is everything. It got me thinking β maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and having a routine are crucial steps toward living my best life.

Love Every Tiny Moments
Cats have this knack for finding joy in the simplest things. Jojie can be incredibly content, whether it's a cuddle session or taking him out to the patio to enjoy the morning view. I can tell it's his favorite because he tends to stay quiet afterward (well, at least it feels like he's happy!). Alternatively, he might nuzzle his face into my hands, asking for a neck scratch. It's nothing extraordinary β just a regular patio view and a scratch. This serves as a reminder to cherish every moment. So, whether I'm sipping a cup of tea, enjoying the view from my window, or gently massaging my temples for relaxation, I've learned to find happiness in these little things.
The wisdom of an old cat that has left a paw print on my heart. Next time life gets a bit hectic, I'm taking a cue from Jojie. Slow down, focus on routine, and cherish each and every tiny moment. After all, in the tales of Jojie, there's a lot more for me to learn about the art of living. πΊβ¨
