Marcus Aurelius was borrowed a personal copy of Epictetus lecture. Marcus was not satisfied to learn things just by getting gist of these lectures.

He didn't just accept teachers’ recommendation and quoted them over the course of his life to look for clarity and strength of words.

Those practices has turned him into a powerful man.

Deep understanding is important than a speed learning and should be the reading and learning goal. It don't matter if it's just a page a day rather than a chapter or a book a day.

All this, so that we can take time to read and understand deeply.
