You haven’t found the right book yet!

If you think about it, everything you do these days requires you to read and write.

When I first met my husband, he used to say he would never read, deeming it useless to sift through thousands of words just to find one useful piece of information.

I remember what I told him, "So you don't like to read; it's just because you haven't found the right one yet!" He sipped his iced chocolate and shook his head, hinting that such a scene would never happen.

A few years later, we went to a bookstore, and I found him quietly immersing himself in a book. I thought to myself, "What otherworldly scene was that?" It was a non-fiction book that delved into world economy, finance, and foreign exchange. He looked at me to say, "I am buying this one!" Other times, he would scroll endlessly, reading long and super long online articles (long podcast too!) about the same topics, history, science and tech, or even philosophy.

He became knowledgeable of things that I never read before, made our morning coffee and dinner conversations super interesting too! This is one of those teachable moments when I get to say to him, "I told you so!" πŸ˜†

The point here is that it's the right book if it helps you know more things. The more you learn from it, the more you grow intellectually, and the more places you travel across the world.

Be it non-fiction or fiction, you just haven't found the right book yet!
